 Additional tips

Below are some suggestions to help you maintain fresh white sheets and bedding for years.

  • Avoid washing bedding with bleach, as this can cause fading or discoloration, making it yellow and brittle. Alternatively, use Vanish, a no-chlorine-bleach stain removal, whitening, and clothing care expert, to leave your whites brighter than ever.

  • Regularly wash your bedding at least once a week to maintain cleanliness by removing dust, dirt, stains, oil, and makeup residue. Add 1 scoop (60g) of Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White Powder to your washing machine cycle to help restore whiteness.

  • Avoid eating in bed, as food stains and spills can be hard to clean out of white sheets and may permanently damage your mattress. In addition, food particles or residue left on the bedding can become a breeding ground for germs and bacteria, increasing the risk of diseases.

  • The average sheet or bedding set must be replaced after two to three years of regular use. Apart from yellowing, tears and rips are also common signs that bedding items are near the end of their lifespan.
