How to Get Blood Stains Out of Sheets

Whether you get a bloody nose in the middle of the night, your little ones jump into the bed with cuts on their knees, or it’s that time of the month, it's common to get blood on sheets.

Do you need to remove blood stains from sheets

Just like with other stains, it's best to deal with them proactively and to use the best stain remover for blood on sheets, such as Vanish

So when your next blood stain happens, follow the instructions in our how to remove blood from sheets guide to guarantee the most effective and reliable stain removal and a cleaner night's rest.

Stain Removal, But First!

As soon as you notice the blood stain, absorb the excess blood by dabbing the stained area with a clean, white, and damp microfiber cloth or paper towel. Remember to dab and not rub the area, as it can cause the stain to spread further into the sheet’s fiber.

Repeat the blotting process until the cloth stops picking up blood. Use new microfiber cloth or paper towels as needed.

If dabbing out the stain doesn’t work, soak your sheets in cold water to loosen the stain. You can add a bit of laundry detergent to the water to help the process along.
