How To Remove Foundation Stains From Carpet

Whether you wear makeup daily or only for special occasions, applying foundation first is essential to conceal skin imperfections like unevenness, redness, and blemishes. But we've all experienced the frustration of foundation spilling from the bottle onto the carpet at some point.

How To Remove Foundation Stains From Carpet

Even though a foundation spill on the carpet can feel like a nightmare, there’s no need to panic as you have reached the right place. Like with all stains - act fast, not giving the stain time to set.

Also, adopt the right cleaning approach and be sure only to use a high-quality stain solver, such as Vanish, which is known for its cleaning, refreshing, and anti-soiling capabilities.

So read along as we explain how to remove foundation stains from carpet – in the safest way possible.

Stain Removal, But First!

  • Speed is essential when dealing with any type of stain. Once you notice the foundation stain, the sooner you attend to it, the easier it will be to remove it entirely.

  • Grab a fresh, clean, and absorbent microfiber cloth and gently blot the affected area, soaking up as much excess foundation as possible.

  • Resist the temptation to rub when removing foundation marks, as this can drive them deeper into the carpet’s fibers. Blot each blemish gradually from the outer edges towards the center until it fades away.

  • Thoroughly vacuum the affected area, removing all types of loose particles ensuring a clean surface for the stain removal process.
